FinalGoodbye.us lets you leave final messages, thoughts, or instructions to be shared after your passing.
You create a message, choose who receives it, and it is released after verification of your passing.
You decide whether your message is private or public and who can retrieve it.
Yes, signing up and creating messages is completely free. We may add premium features or services in the future, such as direct mail or in-person delivery.
This service is run by a licensed insurance provider. We use standard security measures like SSL and secure internet protocols, similar to those used by banks. Our site and data are protected using industry-standard technology, but it is not designed to be impenetrable. If you have highly sensitive information, we recommend storing it elsewhere and using our site to leave instructions on how to retrieve it.
You can leave a personal message, final thoughts, instructions, or anything else you want to share. Messages can be up to 10,000 characters of plain text. We do not currently accept files, images, or text with special characters.
You can log in anytime to edit or update your message.
Data is expensive! We are exploring ways to synchronize with official public death records while keeping this service free. Once implemented, you will have the option to automatically release or send messages upon verification.

All tributes marked public will remain listed on FinalGoodbye.us as long as the site is active. In addition, selected public tributes may be included in our periodically published memorial books, available in print and archived for generations.
Published volumes will remain available through major distributors like Amazon, and existing public listings will be preserved in physical format. We are committed to maintaining public access to memory and meaning.
